Label2Enable will contribute to HIMSS23 European Health Conference & Exhibition in Lisbon 7th-9th June 2023. One of the most influential digital health conferences in Europe, the event will bring together expert, thought leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs and investors. It is organised by Label2Enable partner HIMSS.
Following the motto "Less Hype, More Action", we will engage the HIMSS communities towards leveraging a quality and reliability label for more trustworthy health apps.
In the session "Unleashing the Potential of Apps and Digital Therapeutics", hosted by project partner Liz Ashall‑Payne (ORCHA), Petra Hoogendoorn (LUMC, project coordinator) and Petra Wilson (HIMSS) will offer perspectives from Label2Enable. The workshop will focus on regulation, assessment and reimbursement of health apps and digital therapeutics. (June 7th, 13:00-15:15, Room 5B)
Label2Enable will also connect with HIMSS Communities in the "European Projects Meet HIMSS Communities Pitch & Network Reception". After a short project presentation, Petra Hoogendoorn (LUMC, project coordinator) and Carola Schulz (EMPIRICA), as well as Valentina Strammiello (EPF) will engage with stakeholders around the CEN-ISO/TS 82304-2 health app labelling. On June 8th, Valentina Strammiello (EPF) will talk about "Person-Enabled Care in Action: Engaging Patients in the Digital Experience". (June 8th, 13:45-14:35, Auditorium 2)
Consortium members European Patients' Forum (EPF) and ORCHA will also be attending the conference, representing patients' and app manufacturers' views on health app labelling.
