Label2Enable Study Explores Compatibility of Health App Assessment Framework with Catalan and Italian Health Authorities' Needs
Label2Enable is proud to announce the publication of a new research study, co-authored by project partners Petra Hoogendoorn, Mariam Shokralla, Romy Willemsen, Nick Guldemond, and María Villalobos-Quesada. The article, titled “Compatibility of the CEN-ISO/TS 82304-2 Health App Assessment Framework with Catalan and Italian Health Authorities’ Needs: Qualitative Interview Study,” investigates how well the CEN-ISO/TS 82304-2 technical specification aligns with the specific requirements of health authorities in Catalonia and Italy. Based on qualitative interviews, the research reveals that both authorities share fundamental needs regarding the assessment of health apps, and that the technical specification is largely compatible with these expectations.
These findings are an encouraging step forward, suggesting that the TS 82304-2 framework has the potential to address key concerns across different national health systems. By demonstrating this compatibility, the study may help reduce hesitation among peer health authorities and foster broader acceptance of structured assessment frameworks.
